Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs, FL – On March 28, 2025, at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers from the Tarpon Springs Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at 1208 N. Pinellas Ave.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen. Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue provided medical assistance, and the victim was transported to the trauma center at Bayonet Point Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin. According to Tarpon Springs Police Sergeant John Gibson, the incident is isolated and that there is no threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.
