Fatal St. Petersburg House Fire Ruled Arson; One Dead, One Hospitalized

ST. PETERSBURG — Detectives have determined that a fatal house fire at 3963 Neptune Dr. SE early Sunday morning was intentionally set.

The fire occurred on March 22 at approximately 3:18 a.m. Investigators now classify the incident as arson following further investigation.

Four people were inside the home at the time of the fire. Eighteen-year-old Angelina Anderson died from her injuries. A 35-year-old woman remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. A teenager and a child in the home were not injured.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen a suspicious person or unusual activity in the area around the time of the fire to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780. Detectives are also seeking any video recordings or additional information related to the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
