Fatal Traffic Crash Involving Electric Bike at 32nd Avenue North and Hartford Street North

ST. PETERSBURG – A man injured in a crash while riding an electric bicycle at the intersection of 32nd Avenue North and Hartford Street North has died.

The victim, identified as Caidyn Reese Knuth, 19, of Seminole, died Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg.

According to investigators, the crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on October 15. Knuth was traveling southbound on Hartford Street North, approaching 32nd Avenue North. At the same time, a gray Ford F-150 pulling a lawn trailer, driven by Charles Earle Billue, 44, of St. Petersburg, was traveling eastbound on 32nd Avenue North.

At the intersection, Knuth’s electric bicycle collided with the side of the lawn trailer. He was thrown from the bicycle and transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Billue remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The investigation remains ongoing.
