Fatal Traffic Crash involving PSTA bus and pedestrian on scooter in St. Petersburg

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, shortly begore 11 a.m., a PSTA bus carrying 10 passengers collided with a pedestrian on an electric scooter at the intersection of 22nd Avenue North and the Pinellas Trail.

The pedestrian who was operating the e Scooter was taken to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries. The man’s name is not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

No injuries were reported on the bus, including the bus driver. 

The investigation is open and active.
