Fatality crash on Pinellas Bayway under investigation

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department continue investigating a crash that occurred at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2024.

A gray Hyundai Tucson, driven by 83-year-old Dorothy Mosher of Nova Scotia, Canada, was traveling westbound on the Pinellas Bayway and attempting to turn left onto Bahia Del Mar Boulevard South. 

A gray Toyota Corolla, driven by 26-year-old Andrea Tatsch of St. Petersburg, was traveling eastbound on the Pinellas Bayway. The Hyundai entered the path of the Toyota, and they collided at the intersection of Bahia Del Mar Boulevard South. 

The Hyundai then collided with a Buick Enclave stopped at a stop sign on Bahia Del Mar Blvd. S. 

The three occupants in the Hyundai and the driver of the Toyota were all transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment of their injuries. 

The driver of the Buick was uninjured. 

Philip Rose, age 89, of Nova Scotia, Canada, who was a passenger in the Hyundai, later died of his injuries at the hospital. His next of kin has been notified. 

The investigation remains open and active.
