FHP Cites Driver After Pedestrian Seriously Injured Along Alderman Road in Palm Harbor

A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Alderman Road just west of US-19 in Palm Harbor.

The Florida Highway Patrol states that the pedestrian, 68 year-old Frances Vasques of Palm Harbor, was walking in the sidewalk along the south shoulder of Alderman Road at approximately 12:53 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019.

Lorraine Lemire, age 78 of Tarpon Springs, was driving a 2014 Honda Accord northbound and exiting the driveway when she failed to see Vasques.

Vasques was struck by the Honda. She was rushed to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious injuries.

Troopers cited Lemire with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
