FHP investigating crash closing lanes of I-75 in Sarasota

Troopers are on scene of a crash involving four vehicles, one of which is a concrete mixer truck.

Injuries are reported and a large quantity of concrete mix has been spilled in the southbound travel lanes.

The situation is fluid, at this time the northbound right lane is open. It is anticipated that additional northbound lanes will be reopened soon.

The southbound lanes are closed. Southbound traffic is diverting at Fruitville Road Exit 210.

The southbound entrance ramp from Fruitville Road remains open. 

Traffic is very congested with heavy delays.

Emergency crews are on scene to investigate crash and assess cleanup process.
