FHP Investigating Fatality Crash on Ulmerton Road Friday Evening
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol continue to investigate a crash that killed 47 year-old Michael Kiedrowski of Pinellas Park.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 on Ulmerton Road just west of Carillon Parkway.
Investigators say that Kiedrowski was traveling westbound in a 1994 Chevy S-10 on Ulmerton Road approaching Feather Sound Drive. For an unknown reason, Kiedrowski crossed the center median and collided with two vehicles that were eastbound, stopped at a red traffic signal at the intersection. Neither the driver of the 2016 Dodge Caravan or the 2017 Infinity Q50 were injured.
The Chevy S-10 then overturned, ejecting Kiedrowski from the vehicle. Troopers say he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
He sustained fatal injuries at the scene of the crash which closed the eastbound lanes of Ulmerton Road until 10:49 PM.
