Fire Breaks Out on Egmont Key: Crews Battling 2-Acre Blaze

A fire has erupted on the north end of Egmont Key. Approximately 2 acres of land are currently ablaze, prompting firefighting crews to respond.

As of the latest update, firefighting teams are actively combating the fire. Two Hillsborough County air units have been deployed, each equipped with Bambi buckets to assist in extinguishing the flames.

According to the Lealman Fire District/Tierre Verde Fire District, 6 people were evacuated but no structures are involved. No injuries are reported.
