TAMPA, FL – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to a townhouse fire Saturday morning after multiple 911 callers reported a car ablaze in a garage on Ashburn Lake Drive. The first engine arrived within seven minutes and found heavy fire coming from a vehicle inside the garage of a two-story residence.

Firefighters rapidly deployed hoses to knock down the car fire, preventing flames from spreading further into the home. During a search of the residence, crews located an unresponsive dog. Paramedics on scene administered oxygen and aid, successfully reviving the pet, which was later transported to a local veterinary hospital by its owner.
