Former Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office detention deputy again arrested on child pornography charges

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office detention deputy on child pornography charges.

On July 1, 2024, detectives with HCSO’s Internet Predator Unit obtained a search warrant for a home in Lutz after receiving a tip from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office after the arrest of PCSO Detention Deputy 33-year-old Trevor Willis.

Willis was arrested by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office on July 1, 2024, on multiple child pornography charges. He resigned from his position that same day. That article can be found HERE.

After a thorough investigation, HCSO detectives found further pornographic material on a social media application linked to Willis.

Willis was arrested without incident on July 17, 2024, and is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Child Pornography x9

“These vile actions have no place in our community, and the betrayal of trust by someone who swore to protect and serve is deeply disturbing,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “However, I am immensely proud of the collaboration among all the detectives involved. Their thorough investigation and teamwork have brought this criminal to justice, showing the integrity and commitment we uphold in serving our community.”
