Fully Involved Mobile Home Fire at Down Yonder Village MPH

Units were dispatched to reports of a mobile home fire this afternoon about 1pm. It occurred at 7001 142nd Avenue in Largo at the Down Yonder Mobile Home Park.
Smoke and flames were visible from the entrance of the Park. Flames were shooting through the roof of the structure and into the branches of the pine trees high overhead.
Crews initiated a fast attack and additional arriving units worked to secure a water supply which was located across 142nd Avenue.
One of the occupants of the home was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The occupant was trying to re enter the burning structure when a fellow resident help to keep her outside and prevent her from making this usually deadly decision.
There were reports of one cat that may have been in the structure and crews continued to search.
