Just before midnight on Tuesday, April 30th, two masked armed men entered a home through the front door. The home is located in the 2800 block of 27th Avenue N.
According to police, one victim shot at the suspects and they fled. One of the suspect was shot multiple tmes and located in the middle of the roadway when officers arrived.
The other suspect has not been found.
The injured suspect, 26 year-old Randy Stanley Jr., is in critical but stable condition.
He is under hospital guard at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and is being charged with home invasion robbery and felon in possession of a firearm.
Randy Stanley Jr. was in the custody of the State of Florida Department of Corrections from October 14, 2014 through October 29, 2017. This incarceration was for trafficking in stolen property, grand theft motor vehicle and robbery.
