Homicide Investigation Underway at a Construction Site in Wesley Chapel

Homicide Investigation Underway at a Construction Site in Wesley Chapel

Pasco Sheriff’s detectives are currently working a shooting death in Wesley Chapel.

The call came in at 12:49 p.m on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

Based on very preliminarily information, a man working at a construction site at 28512 Marsciano Lane, was shot and killed while working.

Sheriff Nocco is calling this a targeted execution. The 46 year-old male victim, Heans Cuzan-Alvarez, was a tile worker at a new construction site.  He was with other workers taking a break in the garage area of the home.

Two subjects pulled up in a dark sedan, passed a witness to tap Mr. Alvarez in the leg just prior to executing him.

Cuzan-Alvarez was shot in the upper body and died as a result of the injuries.

The suspects are described as light skinned black males, between 5’03” –  5’08”, very thin build, possibly with short dread locks and both suspects had their face covered.  The suspects were seen fleeing the scene in an 2017-2018 black Ford Fusion Hybrid  The suspect vehicle was caught on nearby surveillance video.

Despite false reports on social media, Sheriff Nocco reports there was no jewelry or items taken during the incident.

Police say that this appears to be an isolated incident and not a threat to the community
