Tampa, FL – Motorists traveling from southbound SR 60 (Memorial Highway), westbound SR 60 (Kennedy Boulevard), and George Bean Parkway (Tampa International Airport) needing to access southbound I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge) can expect entrance ramp closures to occur from 11 p.m. Monday, March 24, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, weather permitting.

Electronic message boards and detour signs will assist motorists traveling through each detour route:

–       Southbound SR 60 (Memorial Highway) will have to enter the interstate using the north I-275 entrance ramp, continue toward Exit 41A, turn left onto Dale Mabry Highway, turn left to access the southbound I-275 entrance ramp, merge onto southbound I-275, and proceed toward the Howard Frankland Bridge.

–       Westbound SR 60 (Kennedy Boulevard) will have to proceed eastbound on Kennedy Boulevard, turn left onto Dale Mabry Highway, turn left to access the southbound I-275 entrance ramp, merge onto southbound I-275, and proceed toward the Howard Frankland Bridge.

–       George Bean Parkway (Tampa International Airport) will have to use the Spruce Street ramp (stay right at the fork), continue eastbound on Spruce Street, turn right onto Westshore Boulevard, turn left onto Cypress Street, turn left onto Dale Mabry Highway, turn left to access the southbound I-275 entrance ramp, merge onto southbound I-275, and proceed toward the Howard Frankland Bridge.

These ramp closures are necessary for crews to shift traffic onto the new southbound I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge) travel lanes from Tampa to St. Petersburg. The new southbound Howard Frankland Bridge should open to traffic during the early morning hours on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
