Hudson Man Arrested After Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Bicyclist

PASCO COUNTY — A 24-year-old Hudson man was arrested following a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on February 19, 2026, at 9:03 p.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Tesla Model Y was traveling southbound on Parkwood Street. South of Bert Street, the vehicle overtook and struck a bicyclist who was also traveling southbound.

The bicyclist, a 52-year-old Tampa woman, was transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Troopers reported that the driver fled the scene following the collision. While troopers remained at the crash site, Logan Richard Pineda returned and identified himself as the driver of the vehicle.

Pineda was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash involving death and transported to the Pasco County Jail.

The crash remains under investigation.
