On Friday, February 9th, 2024, at around 7:50 pm, Tarpon Springs Police Department officers responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV in the 39000 Block of US Highway 19 North.
The female passenger on the 2018 Suzuki motorcycle, identified as 21-year-old Alina Faillios Chavez of Holiday, FL, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcycle driver, 20-year-old Jaden Jackson, also from Holiday, was airlifted to Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries.
The SUV involved, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 30-year-old Kayliegh McLiesh, did not result in injuries for any of its occupants.
