Investigation ongoing after pedestrian struck and killed in Pinellas Park crash

At approximately 9:33 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, officers from the Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the 8300 block of 49th St N for reports of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. 

It was determined through investigative means a black Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on 49th St N. The pedestrian was crossing 49th Street N, west to east, midblock. The front of the Dodge Charger struck the pedestrian while she was in the center lane of northbound 49th Steet N. 

The pedestrian was transported to St. Petersburg General Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. 

The vehicle’s driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

At this time, no criminal charges are stemming from the incident.
