The St. Petersburg Police are investigating a body found in the mangroves at the southeast corner of Lake Maggiore earlier today.
Detectives say there are signs of alligator involvement, although due to the condition of the body it’s too soon to know the cause of death.
St. Petersburg Police reported the remains found in Lake Maggiore on July 4th have been identified as those
of 16 year-old Jarvis Deliford.
At this time, there are no obvious signs of foul play, however detectives are awaiting an official autopsy report to determine a cause of death.
The Medical Examiner is on scene as the investigation continues.
