LARGO — Multiple agencies responded to a structure fire at 3120 South Pines Drive on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The Pinellas County Regional 9-1-1 Communication Center received several calls at approximately 11 a.m., and some responding crews from Largo Fire Rescue, Seminole Fire Rescue, and Clearwater Fire & Rescue reported a visible smoke column while en route.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the second floor of one of the units. One adult with significant burn injuries was located outside and transported to the TGH Burn Center in Tampa. A second victim was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of smoke inhalation. Crews opened sections of the roof to support suppression efforts. The coordinated effort prevented further damage to other connected residences.
The majority of the fire was extinguished by approximately 11:30 a.m. The Largo Police Department, Sunstar Paramedics, Pinellas Park Fire Department, and Duke Energy assisted at the scene.
At least two units sustained fire and smoke damage. Due to the severity of the injuries, the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
