Largo — Fire rescue units responded to a structure fire at a single-family home at 13945 Trinidad Drive at approximately 11:53 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025.
The first arriving crew from Pinellas Suncoast Fire & Rescue found smoke and flames coming from the garage of the two-story residence. The fire extended to the second floor. Crews opened a vent hole in the roof to assist with fire control.

Pinellas Suncoast Fire Chief Ken Grimes said five occupants were inside the home when the fire started. All were evacuated, including one disabled individual. No injuries were reported among the occupants or fire rescue personnel.
A second alarm was requested to bring additional resources to the scene. Responding agencies included City of Seminole Fire Rescue, Largo Fire Rescue, Madeira Beach Fire Department, Sunstar Paramedics, Duke Energy, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Red Cross.
Firefighters removed a cat and a pet snake from the home. The cat received medical care at the scene and was transported to a local animal hospital for continued treatment. Additional details regarding its status are unknown.
The situation was deemed under control shortly after 1 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
