Largo Man Killed in Motor Scooter Crash; Largo Police Need Your Help

Largo Police are asking for assistance in identifying the vehicle or driver that was involved in the death of Daniel Irizarry, a 37 year-old Largo resident.
Crews from Largo Fire Rescue, Largo Police and Sunstar Paramedics were dispatched to a vehicle crash northbound on US 19 N near 150th Avenue at about 12:41 AM early Saturday morning. Irizarry died at the scene of the crash due to the extent of his injuries. Northbound lanes of US 19 were shut down at Ulmerton Road for an extended period of time during the investigation.
Largo Police reports that Daniel Irizarry was driving a 2014 Red Bash motor scooter which was struck in the rear by a silver 2004 Nissan Maxima. Irizarry was thrown into the roadway after impact and was run over by a second vehicle that left the scene. The driver of the Silver Maxima remained on-scene.
The vehicle that left the scene is being described as a dark colored four door compact vehicle with missing hubcaps and black steel wheels.
