Largo man seriously injured in early morning crash in Pasco County

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that seriously injured a Largo man.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:31 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in Pasco County.

Christopher Miller, age 31 of Largo, was traveling westbound on SR-54, east of Mitchell Ranch Road in a 2010 Honda Civic.

The 69 year-old driver of a 2009 Mack truck was traveling eastbound on SR-54.

According to the report, Miller failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and entered the median. Miller’s Civic continued into the eastbound lanes of SR-54 and entered the path of the truck. This resulted in a head-on type collision.

Miller was seriously injured and transported to Bayonet Point Hospital.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Troopers do not believe that alcohol was involved and report that Miller was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
