Members of the Largo Police Department along with Largo Fire Rescue responded to a rollover crash in the 9000 block of Ulmerton Road. The crash, just west of Starkey Road, occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
The crash left one of the drivers entrapped in his yellow Jeep. Firefighters worked to extricate him from the vehicle. AirLife 3 was requested to respond to the scene since Bayfront Health St. Petersburg was closed to all new patients, including trauma patients.
The occupant was removed from the vehicle and transported to the nearby landing zone for AirLife3. The driver was flown to St. Josephs Hospital in Tampa.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.
No other details are available and very unlikely that Largo Police will release any information regarding this crash.
The crash closed the inside lanes of Ulmerton Road in both direction during the investigation.
