BRADENTON – Detectives from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that left two adults dead in the 1100 Block of 51st Ave. Dr. W., Bradenton, the PPic Town Mobile Home Park.
The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, inside the mobile home. A third person involved in the incident has been accounted for and detectives are speaking with that individual. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
Through investigative means, detectives have developed probable cause to charge 28-year-old Dominique Rogers with two counts of 2nd-degree murder. When deputies arrived, they located Rogers at the residence and two adult victims inside, deceased from gunshot wounds. Rogers spoke with deputies and confirmed he shot the victims following a dispute between the three.
During the investigation, it was learned that Rogers had multiple active out-of-county warrants for drug-related offenses, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended/revoked license, among other charges. He was arrested and is currently booked in the Manatee County Jail.
The identity of the two victims is being withheld due to Marsy’s Law.
The investigation is active and ongoing, and no other information is available at this time.
