BRADENTON – The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 26-year-old man on two counts of attempted murder following a double shooting early Sunday morning.
Deputies responded at approximately 2:15 a.m. on December 7, 2025, to the 3100 block of 11th Street Court East after receiving a report that two people had been shot. Deputies found a 32-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the face and a 41-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. Both were transported to a hospital. The woman was later listed in stable condition. The man’s injury was determined to be minor, and he was released. The shooter had left before deputies arrived.
Deputies identified the suspect as Exzavion Richardson, 26. He was located in a vehicle several blocks away and detained during a traffic stop. According to the Sheriff’s Office, witnesses identified Richardson as the individual who came to the residence looking for someone he said owed him money. Witnesses reported that he shot the male victim and then the female victim, who was standing outside the residence.
Richardson, a nine-time convicted felon, is charged with two counts of attempted murder, home invasion robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The investigation is ongoing.
