42-year-old Kelli Fisher was last seen leaving in her Aunt’s car on July 16, 2024 and her Aunt reported her missing on July 17th.
Officers discovered her vehicle on July 18th in an abandoned lot near 803 28th Avenue South. The front driver’s side door was ajar. Inside the car, officers found three cell phones and a small amount of cash on the dashboard.
Her family made an emotional plea for information on her whereabouts on July 30th.
On August 1st, the Pinellas Medical examiner confirmed that remains found in a burned-out house at 1720 Prescott St. S. were those of Kelli Fisher, and that she had been stabbed numerous times before the fire.
Detectives arrested 23-year-old Ivan Edward m and charged him with First Degree Murder for the death of Fisher.
Edward is a family acquaintance and was known to the victim. He has been in custody since July 29th for unrelated charges of auto theft and armed burglary.
