Man Critically Injured in Clearwater Shooting

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a shooting on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in the 900 block of Vine Avenue. The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m.

A 52-year-old man was shot and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital before he was transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. He remains in critical condition.

Detectives conducted a preliminary investigation and believe the shooting was drug-related. Authorities also stated that the individuals involved were known to each other.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Clearwater Police at 727-562-4242.
