While no arrests have been made related to the shooting itself, police said an unrelated arrest was made involving one of the individuals present inside the apartment.

According to a Largo Police Department complaint and arrest affidavit, Ryan Jeffrey Devore, 32, of Largo, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor violation of an injunction for protection.

Investigators said Devore admitted he was inside a friend’s apartment at 5154 Foxbridge Circle North, Unit 42, when the friend fired a shotgun out of the window. Officers reported locating five long guns and multiple rounds of ammunition, both spent and unused, inside the residence.

Authorities said Devore is prohibited from being in possession of or around firearms due to an existing injunction for protection issued in Pinellas County.

According to the affidavit, Devore told officers he knew weapons were inside the apartment and admitted he witnessed the shooting while standing behind the person firing the shotgun.

Devore was arrested around 7:00 p.m. and transported to the Pinellas County Jail’s booking area for the injunction violation charge.

As of Thursday morning, police said the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. Officials have reiterated that there is no continuing public safety threat related to the incident.

The Largo Police Department thanked assisting agencies that responded to the scene, including the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Pinellas Park Police Department, and the Clearwater Police Department.
