Motorcycle Crash Claims the Life of a 25 Year-old St. Petersburg Woman Thursday Afternoon

 

25 year-old Kassidy M. Titara of St. Petersburg was killed in a motorcycle crash in St. Petersburg.  The crash occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 8 2017, at 6th Avenue S and 28th Street.

According to Traffic Homicide Investigators from the St. Petersburg Police Department, a 2012 Ford Focus, being driven by 52 year-old Celina Soroa of St. Petersburg, was traveling northbound in the 600 block of 28th Street South in the median lane.

Titara was operating a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle traveling southbound on 28th Street South, approaching 6th Avenue South.

Soroa, who reportedly did not see Titara, made a left (westbound) turn into the motorcycle’s path causing the motorcycle to strike the passenger side of the Ford Focus. Titara was thrown from the motorcycle onto the roadway.

Titara was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7:00 p.m.

Soroa was uninjured according to police.
