Crews from multiple fire rescue departments responded to reports of a vehicle crash at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
The single vehicle crash occurred in the vicinity of 118th Avenue N near Lake Allen Drive in Pinellas Park. Arriving units, arriving on scene, located a single vehicle crash with heavy damage after the vehicle collided with a tree along 118th Avenue west of Lake Allen Drive.
Firefighters conducted an extensive extrication to remove the driver, 24 year-old Jerrica Cole of Riverview, Florida. The responding air transport unit was cancelled due to Cole’s grave medical condition. Cole was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.
Investigators determined the Jerrica Cole failed to negotiate a curve on 118th Ave, directly west of Lake Allen Dr. The vehicle left the roadway striking a tree along the 118th Ave right-of-way.Â
No other vehicles were involved in this crash and the exact causation is under investigation by the Pinellas Park Police Department.
