Pasco County – A two-vehicle crash involving a Nissan Cube and a Toyota Tacoma resulted in several children being hospitalized Wednesday morning .
The collision occurred at approximately 11:37 a.m. on June 25, 2025 following a collision on US-19 at the intersection with State Road 52.
According to authorities, the Nissan Cube, driven by a 33-year-old woman from Hudson, was traveling northbound on US-19. The Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 42-year-old Hudson man, was traveling southbound on the same roadway. At approximately 11:37 AM, the driver of the Tacoma received a green light and began turning left onto SR-52.
As the Tacoma turned, the northbound Nissan Cube failed to stop for a red traffic signal and collided with the Toyota. The impact caused the Nissan Cube to overturn, ejecting several passengers, while the Toyota came to rest in the northbound lanes.
The Nissan Cube was carrying six children, all between the ages of five and nine. All occupants of the Nissan were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Tacoma sustained minor injuries but was not transported.
The crash resulted in partial lane closures on US-19 until approximately 1:13 PM. The investigation is ongoing.
