FeaturThe Tampa Police Department is on scene at Peter O Knight Airport on Davis Island in response to a Piper 28/140 which lost power on take off and landed in the water.
The pilot who was the sole occupant exited the plane uninjured before the plane submerged. Police Marine Units and Divers are in route to assist in the plane’s recovery.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of the incident.
