Occupants of fleeing vehicle in custody after rollover crash in St. Petersburg

An officer from the Gulfport Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle operating in a reckless manner in St. Petersburg. The vehicle continue to flee in a reckless manner and crashed into another vehicle near the intersection of 58th Street S and 1st Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

Multiple subjects fled on foot immediately after the crash. Initial reports indicates that all subject are currently detained by officers.

No information available at this time regarding the extent of any injuries. Any updates provided by law enforcement will be posted here on IONTB.com

The Eastbound lanes of 1st Ave. S. are temporarily closed between 58th-60th street for the traffic crash investigation.
