Deputies from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrested one of their own after a domestic related incident. The incident occurred at a home in Port Richey, Florida. The incident occurred at the shared residence of 41 year-old Wayne Boekeloo, a Sergeant with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, and his girlfriend on Seashore Drive in Port Richey.
According to the arrest affidavit, Boekeloo was a local bar with acquaintances and returned home in the early morning hours on Monday, September 6, 2021. Multiple others came by the home and played drinking games. Boekeloo reportedly began to pull the hair of and smack another female at the home. Both the girlfriend and other female told him to stop and to keep his hands to himself. The friend left the home after he called her a bitch and yelled, “Get the F–k out of my house.” Boekeloo attacked his girlfriend as she re-entered the home. The girlfriend was reportedly thrown across the room and floor several times. Boekeloo threw a vase against the wall and reportedly told her to “get her shit and get out.”
A phone call was made to Boekeloo’s relative about the altercation ongoing at the home. The female relative drove to the home and found the girlfriend across street and described her forehead as completely swollen. The relative knocked on the locked front door of Boekeloo’s home. He abruptly opened the door and tried to hit her but missed. He then grabbed her by the throat and pushed her back into the wall on the porch. The relative and another family member ran to their nearby van to escape. They both witnessed Boekeloo tackle the girlfriend to the ground on the neighbor’s driveway. As the occupants of the van attempted to pull away, Boekeloo punched the passenger window at least one time without causing any damage. As they drove away they called 911.
Deputies from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and described Boekeloo as being intoxicated, slurring his words, and having trouble standing without assistance. He requested to speak with an attorney before discussing the incident.
The girlfriend was interviewed by deputies at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Her injuries were described as a contusion to her forehead, bruises on her jaw, chin, eyes and knees. She also had an abrasion on her left elbow and dried blood around her lips and complained of knots on her head.
Based on the victim’s account, injures and witnesses, Boekeloo was placed under arrest for two counts of Domestic Battery. He was transported to the Land O’ Lakes Detention Facility without incident. Boekeloo’s booking photo is absent from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office website.
