Tarpon Springs Police Identify Victim in Lincoln Avenue Shooting; Second Victim Remains Critical

Tarpon Springs — Officers responded to a reported shooting at approximately 4:05 p.m. in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, according to the Tarpon Springs Police Department.

Police said two adult males were transported from the scene in a personal vehicle rather than by ambulance.

One of the individuals was later pronounced deceased. This individual has been identified as 23-year-old Tony Lanail Hendrix III.

The second individual, 25-year-old Tony Harris, remains at a local trauma center in critical condition.

Investigators believe the incident to be isolated, and authorities stated there is no known ongoing threat to the public.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department remains actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Residents are asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
