St. Petersburg Police are currently on-scene of a shooting that occurred at 5877 Fairfield Avenue S. The shooting occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
Police say that a 26 year-old Ocossio Nettles broke into his girlfriend’s apartment and was confronted by 48 year-old Roderick Donson who police are calling a family friend
Shots were fired and Nettles died at the scene. Donson was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with a non life-threatening injury.
Two women and a child who were in the apartment were not injured.
