Orlando Woman Killed Running Across I-275 in St. Petersburg Friday Evening
23 year-old Paige Murray of Orlando attempted to run across the northbound lanes of I-275 according to investigators from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at milepost 23 on I-275 near I-375 in St. Petersburg.
Murray reportedly was a passenger in a vehicle that stopped on the northbound outside shoulder of I-275. Â She exited the vehicle and ran westbound across the northbound lanes of traffic and into the path of a Toyota Highlander and a Chevy Malibu.
The 53 year-old female driver of the Malibu had minor injuries according to Troopers and the 45 year-old female driver of the Highlander was uninjured in the crash. Â The driver of the Malibu is from West Palm Beach and the driver of the Highlander is from Memphis, Tennessee.
Murray was rushed to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she died of her injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
