A 62-year-old Palm Harbor man was hospitalized following a crash on Alderman Road at approximately 11:43 a.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
According to Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving an Infiniti sedan eastbound on Alderman Road when he suffered a possible medical emergency. The incident caused him to lose control of his vehicle.
The Infiniti sideswiped a Ford sedan and stopped at Belcher Road’s left turn lane. A 57-year-old Palm Harbor woman with a 69-year-old male passenger from Palm Harbor drove the Ford. Neither occupant of the Ford was injured.
After sideswiping the Ford, the Infiniti continued eastbound onto the northeast shoulder, colliding with a tree.
Bystanders were able to remove the man from the vehicle and began to administer CPR. Paramedics arrived on scene, and the man was revived and rushed to a local hospital for more advanced care.
The crash remains under investigation.
