Pasco Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Dead and One Critically Injured

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continues to investigate a motorcycle crash involving a fatality. The crash occurred on Sunday, April, 9, 2017 at approximately 4:51 p.m. at SR-52 and Moon Lake Road in Hudson
According to troopers, 44 year-old Anthony Pilotti of Spring Hill was operating a 2002 Yamaha XV1700 motorcycle eastbound on SR-52 approaching the intersection of Moon Lake Road.
Pilotti failed to negotiate a curve and struck the raised center median at Moon Lake Road. Pilotti and his 49 year-old passenger, Holly Rich of Spring Hill, were thrown from the motorcycle.
Rich died at the scene of the crash and Pilotti was transported to Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. FHP reports that Pilotti died from his injuries overnight.
Neither Rich or Pilotti were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor in the crash according to troopers.
