Pedestrian critically injured in hit and run crash after struck by motorcycle in Clearwater

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the 600 block of Druid Road just after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

The crash involved a motorcycle that struck a 40-year-old male pedestrian. The motorcyclist then drove from the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he remains in critical condition.

According to the Clearwater Police Department, alcohol appears to be a factor on the part of the pedestrian. The motorcycle is described as an older chopper-type.
