Pedestrian Killed in Pinellas Park Crash on 66th Street North

Pinellas Park — The Pinellas Park Police Department (PPPD) is investigating a traffic crash involving a pedestrian that occurred Sunday, December 28, 2025, at approximately 8:10 p.m. in the 11700 block of 66th Street North.

Police said the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. A black Mercedes SUV was traveling southbound on 66th Street North when a female pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk and entered the vehicle’s path. The SUV struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, identified as 28-year-old Kendall Wilson, was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition. In an update on Monday morning, the Pinellas Park Police Department announced that she died from her injuries.

Neither the driver nor his passenger, visiting from Massachusetts, was injured in the crash.

The investigation remains active, but neither speed nor impairment was a contributing factor, according to PPPD.

Traffic Alert: Southbound 66th Street North is closed at 118th Avenue. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
