Pinellas Park — The Pinellas Park Police Department is investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred Sunday, December 28, 2025, at approximately 8:10 p.m. in the 11700 block of 66th Street North.
Police said the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. A black Mercedes SUV was traveling southbound on 66th Street North when a female pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk and entered the vehicle’s path. The SUV struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition.
At this time, the identities of those involved are being withheld pending family notification.
The investigation remains active. Additional information will be released upon its conclusion.
Traffic Alert: Southbound 66th Street North is closed at 118th Avenue. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
