Pedestrian critically injured in St. Petersburg hit and run crash

On Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., a bronze or dark-colored KIA Forte struck a woman as she was crossing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street near 22nd Avenue South.

The woman, 37-year-old Denise Morrell, suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.

The driver of the KIA did not stay at the scene.

Police are searching for a bronze or dark colored KIA Forte with significant damage to the front of the vehicle from the impact.
