Pedestrian Died This Morning After Being Struck by a Vehicle on I-275 in Pinellas Friday Morning

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 49 year-old Melissa Dannemiller of Lancaster, Ohio died as a result of her injuries from a crash on I-275.  The crash occurred on Friday, June 2, 2017 at approximately 9:57 a.m. near Pinellas Point Drive.

Troopers say Dannemiller was standing in the safety zone on I-275 at the entrance ramp from Pinellas Point Drive South.

A 55 year-old Sun City woman was traveling southbound on I-275 in the outside lane approaching the Pinellas Point Drive South entrance ramp.

Dannemiller traveled into the path of the woman’s Lincoln MKZ and was struck.  She was transported to Bayfront Health in critical condition.

Dannemiller died on June 4th from injuries sustained during the June 2nd crash.
