PALM HARBOR, FL – A tragic crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in the parking lot at 3347 Tampa Road, resulting in the death of a 74-year-old Palm Harbor woman.
According to troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident happened when a Toyota RAV4, driven by a 66-year-old Palm Harbor woman, was reversing in the parking lot. The vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was walking through the lot at the time.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, freed her from under the vehicle but the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The identities of the individuals involved have not been released. No further details are available at this time.
