A 60-year-old pedestrian from St. Petersburg was fatally struck Friday, November 2, 2024, while crossing Ulmerton Road. The collision occurred around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of 49th Street.
The pedestrian was reportedly walking north in a crosswalk when a westbound Nissan Versa entered the intersection under a green light.
The vehicle, driven by a 44-year-old man from Indian Harbor Beach, collided with the pedestrian, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
Authorities closed portions of Ulmerton Road to investigate the circumstances of the crash. The identities of those involved have not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
