Pedestrian struck and killed attempting to cross Ulmerton Road

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, at approximately 8:10 p.m., a fatal pedestrian crash occurred on Ulmerton Road just east of 58th Street N.

According to troopers, an Acura SUV, driven by a 51-year-old woman from Clearwater, was traveling westbound on Ulmerton Road, just east of 58th Street North.

A 51-year-old female from Largo attempted to cross the road and entered the path of the oncoming vehicle. The pedestrian was struck by the SUV and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
