Pilot uninjured in Cessna crash at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport

Fire Rescue crews responded to an aircraft down at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Crews from St. Petesburg Fire Rescue responded with crews from the the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting units to a duel engine Cessna 340 crashed on the fenceline located at Stoneybrook Drive and Ulmerton Road.

Authorities report the sole occupant/pilot was not injured. Crews are working to contain a fuel leak from the damaged aircraft.

The cause and investigation of the crash is in progress through the FAA.
