Pinellas County Cold Night Shelters to Open January 31 and February 1

The Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas announced the activation of Cold Night Shelters for Saturday, January 31, 2026, and Sunday, February 1, 2026. Shelters will operate overnight from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. at multiple locations across Pinellas County.

Pinellas Park

First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park, 9025 49th St N Allows pets; must be leashed or contained PSTA Route #49

St. Petersburg

Unitarian Universalist Church, 100 Mirror Lake Dr N Requires use of stairs PSTA Routes #9, 20, 24, SunRunner

Salvation Army, 310 14th Ave S Requires a valid ID for entry PSTA Route #4A or B

Allendale United Methodist Church, 3803 Haines Rd N PSTA Routes #16, 38

Northwest Church, 6330 54th Ave N Allows pets; must be leashed or contained PSTA Routes #54, 66

Transportation

PSTA will provide free rides to shelters from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. during activation. Riders must inform drivers they are traveling to a Pinellas Cold Night Shelter. If denied a fare-free ride, riders may ask the driver to contact PSTA dispatch.

Family Shelters

Families seeking shelter should call First Contact at 211 for referrals, based on availability.
