Pinellas Deputies Investigating After Body Recovered From Seminole Pond

Detectives assigned to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Robbery & Homicide Unit are conducting a death investigation after a body was found floating in a Seminole pond.

Deputies were called at about 1:49 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Bay Pines apartments, located at 4652 Miramar Drive, in Seminole

Deputies were called to a large pond at about 1:49 p.m in front of The Courtney at The Bay Pines apartments, located at 4652 Miramar Drive, in Seminole, for a body found floating in the water.

According to detectives, the female was found floating near the shoreline.

Detectives responded and confirmed the woman in the water was 35-year-old Christine M. Collins of Seminole. Collins was pronounced deceased at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

Detectives say the circumstances surrounding Collin’s death do not appear suspicious. The cause and manner of death will be determined pending the outcome of the Medical Examiner’s autopsy.

Next of kin has been notified.

The investigation continues.
